While the stock market has been a foe to some, it has been a friend to real estate.     Last year, as stock prices tumbled to their lowest level in five years, America's wealthiest went house hunting.  According to Data Quick, 2002 sales in Orange County of homes priced more than $1 million increased more than 30%.  Rich Americans are jumping ship and taking their money out of the stock market an investing in real estate.  A large reason behind the strength of luxury estates is the strong appreciation rates. 

According to Al Rattan president of Renaissance Properties, the builder developer of Renaissance Estates, we have noticed the same investment phenomenon.  Our buyers are seeking refuge from the stock market.  Bloomberg News reports, Wealthy Americans see real estate as a secure place to put their money.  The North County Times last September reported that sales of million-dollar homes in Southwest Riverside County are ahead of last year's pace.

Renaissance Estates welcomes its newest residents Carlos and Betty Moore who in 2000 moved from Santa Barbara to De Luz, a community located on the hilltops just west of Temecula.  After they purchased their home they became enamored with the ambiance and the financial potential of building a dream mansion at Renaissance Estates.  The Moore's purchased their lot in 2001, which has 360-degree views.  Betty's interpretation of the community and its incredible views was the inspiration for their home named Montecielo, to define a mansion on the mountain near the sky.

With an estimated 750 art, wine, and music enthusiasts on hand at the August 3^rd Renaissance Estates Art and Design Festival, Renaissance Properties LLC helped to raise nearly $15,000 towards Temecula’s After School Arts program. Funds raised will also help to support other arts in education programs in the Temecula-Murrieta Valley. "We are happy to have been able to participate in such a worthwhile event," says Al Rattan, president of Arrow Homes the builder/developer of the Festival’s host location, Renaissance Estates. As host, the builder worked in conjunction with the Arts Council of the Temecula Valley who brought together a number of local restaurants, vintners, artists, and entertainers to provide a fun-filled afternoon. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Arts Council and its partnership with the Temecula Valley Unified School District and the City of Temecula.

As part of the afternoon’s festivities guests were able to tour Renaissance Estates’ custom homes and gardens.
